On the Campaign Trail
It's been 5 months since I've announce my candidacy for State Representative and my campaign is going strong. The momentum continues to grow on my campaign, and I have doubled my support group and staff. I am operating under two campaign offices now, one in Harlingen, TX and the other in Kingsville, TX so that the people of South Texas will be able to reach me at anytime. With the election just around the corner, the choices have been made in Brooks, Willacy, and Cameron that I will be the first on the ballot making me your first choice for State Representative!

New Fire truck

I attended a City Council meeting last night and succeeded in pasting my agenda which included more public input for the Beach Renourishment Project which will be the largest beach renourishment project in Texas History. I believe more discussion and debate is key to our success as a democracy. I had a fundraiser last night in Mission and will be having a fundraiser tonight at Los Ebanos Preserve 6-8pm.

We started out Saturday morning early from the Valley and after a stop for water, we headed to the Vaquero Festival. This events is what rural American is all about good food, good people and our heritage as Texans. The Lion's served up some amazing carne esada with rice and beans for 5$ a deal which included a coke. This was a great way to spend a Saturday. I want to thank the citizens of Hebbronville putting on a wonderful festival...I look forward to next year and encourage anyone in the area to make the trip . There were no hotel room s left in town due the success of the event.

County Judge Cascos, Candidate for School Board ----Mr. Perez
I have been friends with Mr.Perez son, Dr. Nolan Perez since we attended UT together in the early 90's. Dr. Perez and his family will be back in the Valley soon, he just finished his GI speciality. We are lucky to get them back in the Valley. His office will be in Harlingen and I believe it will be open sometime in July. He is a great candidate for the Island as a second homeowner. The Valley is a changing............
